No dead air

Every track is mixed into the next. No silence, no slow fades, no songs that clash. Nobody stood around waiting.

Only the good bits

Each song plays for around two and a half minutes. Long intros and meandering outros are gone, so the energy never dips.

Spotify is all you need

If you've got Spotify Premium, you're done. No YouTube mixes, SoundCloud or Mixcloud faff. Play it from your phone or laptop and Bluetooth or AirPlay it to the speakers.

Start anywhere, skip anything

Tap any track and the mix plays on from that song. And if one dies on its backside (it happens to the best of us), just hit skip. The next song starts cleanly from the top, not crashed into halfway through.

Turn shuffle off! These are mixed in order, so shuffle turns a slick DJ set into a car crash. Hit play, put your phone down, go and dance. Bluetooth or AirPlay only! Sending it to speakers with Spotify Connect (Sonos, smart speakers, the TV) quietly switches the mixing off, and you're back to a plain old playlist.

I've been DJing and mixing since I was 15, back in the days of turntables and vinyl. Since then I've played loads of birthday parties, club nights, house nights, even drum & bass nights, plus a few wedding receptions and plenty of my own parties.

I'm a broad church: I love all kinds of music, and whatever I'm playing, the job is the same. Keep the energy up.
